Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates a footnote with explanatory information.
? A question mark indicates indecipherable/illegible material.
The country of origin was Germany for all, as was the USA the destination for all;
hence, those columns have been omitted in this listing.
Mechd. is an abbreviation for merchand/merchant. Odd that most of the men on this list
are merchants!
According to other sources many of these passengers were from Neermoor, Ostfriesland
though that is not indicated on this list.
I don't think the writer of this list was German--the names seem to be either misspelled
or Anglicized, i.e, John, or Schofield, etc., and there are no umlauts for names like
Muller or Gartner, for exampl; therefore, I have marked many of the names with asterisks
and noted in a footnote a suggestion as to what the name might be in German.
