Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber,
or is used to call your attention to additional information in the transcriber's notes.
? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the condition of the
manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.
^ A ^ followed by a letter indicates that the letter was superscripted.
Portions of this passenger list were difficult to decipher due to what appears to be mirror
images of handwriting from another page being transferred onto a particular page, probably due
to pages being stacked before ink dried.
Names were transcribed as seen regardless of spelling. Many first names are written in
abbreviated form, such as Joh for John, Jos for Joseph, Cath^n for Catherine, Ant^e for
Antoine, etc.
On the manifest, families and baggage were bracketed to indicate that baggage belonged to the
entire group, even though it is only logged beside one or two names. The transcriber has shown
the baggage for a family with the first family member.
Passengers where numbered by the transcriber for ease of referencing.
1,38,82,126 In 5th column, Country of which they intend to become inhabitants, Farmer is
written. This is the case for the first entry on each of the four pages.
42 Could be Legsoll.
68 First name is Anna but sex is male.
94 Muller is written with a u umlaut.
110 Could be Sheall.
114-115 Name, age and sex are marked through on these passengers, but entries are
legible.
129 Surname is smeared. First letter could be C.
135 First name could be Silas or Giles; surname is not legible. Note that the
name Lorenz Amann is written in Baggage column. The name Lorenz Amann has
been included in the surname list.
141-143 Surname is smeared and not legible.
144-146 Grunawald is written with a u umlaut.
