* The Country in which they intend to become inhabitants was listed as United States for all
  passengers, and so is not included.

* The column for Remarks was always blank, and also is not included. 

  The original manifest was written with surnames noted once.  For this list, surnames have
  been carried down, surrounded by parentheses.

  The luggage was noted once per family, with brackets noting that the amount was for the
  entire family.
