Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark indicates indecipherable/illegible material.
An asterisk indicates a footnote with explanatory information.
A ^ (caret) indicates superscript.
The five "first cabin" passengers have been listed at the end of this list to facilitate the
numbering of the passengers.
The writer of this list has anglicized several German names: William (Wilhelm), Edward (Eduard),
John (Johann), Henry (Heinrich), Jean (prob. Jan), Charles (prob. Karl).
8 Some damage to the manifest has obscured the name for passenger #8. It seems to be
Kessell; however, there may be ditto marks indicating that the name be Hesse.
21 Blumke has an umlauted u so may also be Bluemke.
28 Cacilie (Cäcilie) has an umlauted a.
31 What looks like "scotch tape" damage to original has almost obliterated the last
letters of this surname. It seems to be something like Schlemrict.
32 Huschen has an umaluted u so may also be Hueschen.
41 Stor has an umlauted o so may also be Stoer.
45 Roder has an umlauted o so may also be Roeder.
46 Surname may be Odler.
47 Lowenstein has an umlauted o so may also be Loewenstein.
48 Rudiger has an umlaued u so may also be Ruediger.
70 Surname may be Scheffer.
72-74 Surname may be Sauther.
75 Muhleisen has an umlauted u so may also be Muehleisen.
84-85 Origin should proably read: Sachsen (i.e. Saxony)
108 Supfle has an umlauted us so may also be Suepfle.
126 Armbruster has an umlauted u so may also be Armbruester.
138 Kuhn has an umlauted u so may also be Kuehn.
156-168 Nolhfelden should probably read: Nohfelden.
168-173 Schafer has an umlauted a so may also be Schaefer.
174-175 Dulfer has an umlauted u so may also be Duelfer.
177-181 Dolle has an umlauted o so may also be Doelle.
224 Word "Died" inserted in a column between the destination and the location on the ship.
226-227 Munstermann has an umlauted u so may also be Muenstermann.
233 von Schonberg has an umlauted o so may also be Schoenberg.
