? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

* There is an umlaut over the u in Kuckens.

The nationality of all the passengers is French with the exception of passengers 3 and 4, 
which is United States.  This column has been omitted.  

All passengers list New Orleans as their destination; this column has been omitted.  

There were no deaths or births listed on this voyage, although at the end of the manifest is 
written 109 minus 2 equals 107 which could mean there were two deaths but no notation made.
