manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

5 Surname may be Stolzer because in other instances the writer's l looks like an e.
9-14 From an article in the "Deutsch-Amerikanische Geschichstblätter" published in
Chicago in 1902, I believe this family came from Schortens (Ostfriesland) and
settled in Will County Illinois. In that article the father's given name is listed
as Cornelius Behrend Jacobs. Also, according to the article the ship left Bremen on
the second day of Easter, i.e. April 16, 1854
14 Entry in the death column says: Death.
15 According to the article cited for passengers 9-14 this surname should be Stassen,
and he came from Schoost (Ostfriesland).
16 Another name in the article cited for passengers 9-14; also from Schoost.
22 Muller (Müller) has an umlauted u so may also be Mueller.
24 Schuler (Schüler) has an umlauted u so may also be Schueller.
25 Surname is overwritten but weems to be Martens.

122-128 Bruckner (Brückner) has an umlauted u so may also be Brueckner.
129-132 Wustlin may have an umlauted u (Wüstlein) making it also possibly Wuestlein.
145 Name unclear; looks like it may be Sobeck.
147 Surname seems to be Vier.
151 Surname may be Grubel (Grübel) or Gruebel.
152 Schuler (Schüler) has an umlauted u so may also be kSchueler.
153 Surname unclear; may be Hackspauer.
161 Given name has an umlaut (Cäciliae).
162-168 I believe these people are the people listed as Freese in an article in the "Deutsch-
Amerikanische Geschichstblätter" published in Chicago in 1902. Passenger #162 was
Reent Eden Freese. The family came from Sillenstede (Ostfriesland).
166 I believe the gender for this passenger should be male.
169-170 From an article in the "Deutsch-Amerikanische Geschichstblätter" published in Chicago
in 1902, This couple came from Wiefels (Ostfriesland) and settled in Will County
Illinois.
171-173 From an article in the "Deutsch-Amerikanische Geschichstblätter" published in Chicago
