Female Adoptee ~ Born Albany, New York ~ 02/21/1958

In Search Of Female, My Twin Sister, Born Albany, New York ~ 02/21/1958

And Another Sibling (Gender Unknown) Born in Albany, New York ~ 1960

I recently learned that I am a twin!

My twin, born on 02/21/1958 at Brady Hospital, in Albany, New York, most probably does not know she is a twin either. She may not even know she is adopted.

I have found my family and they are the most loving, accepting family I could have hoped to find.

Unfortunately, our mother, M. L. Wallace, passed away several years ago so I did not get to meet her. However, I am learning about my mom through my aunts, sisters and brothers. She was a loving, generous woman with a great sense of humor and a talent for writing. Our mom had 2 sets of twins.

The first twins were boys born in 1956, also in Albany. Despite our mothers difficult situation at that time, she was able to keep the twin boys. The second set of twins were born February 21, 1958. There is another child that was born to her in 1960. We know this baby was born in Albany. It could have been at Brady Hospital, Albany Medical Center or another hospital in the Albany area.

With no support and with our father abandoning her, I can only imagine how difficult and painful it was for her to be forced to give up her children. Our mother was Scottish/Irish and Austrian. She had blonde hair and blue-eyes and was about 5'6" or 5'7". She was born in Iowa and graduated from a high school in that state.

I am including some pictures of me at different ages. If you recoginize the person in these pictures, I may be your twin or older sibling. You have a large and loving family waiting to meet you !! Cherie

It is our hope that many wonderful reunions will result from the Adoption Story Board. Stories are accepted from any member of the adoption triad, adoptees, birth parents, siblings, and adoptive parents. We encourage those who have been reunited to share their stories too. However, if you just want to share information and for some reason a reunion seems out of the question, you can still add your story to this website. Your name and email address will remain confidential if you wish.

Peace to you and those you love,
Aunt Patty, Founder/Coordinator
