Transcriber's Notes:
  There were no births or deaths noted.
  ? indicates letter(s) which could not be read
  * The destination for all passengers was USA. That column has been
    omitted here.
  * Baggage for a family or group was indicated by a bracket with the
    total pieces of luggage next to it. Here, I have listed the total
    pieces of luggage with the first person in the group. For example,
    the first two passengers were travelling together with a total of
    4 pieces of luggage.
  * Occupation is the same for the first 2 passengers. It may say "none",
    but the first letter resembles the writer's "M", more than his "N" and
    the last letter looks more like his "o" than his "e". The 2nd and 3rd
    letters are "o" and "n".
  * Passengers 3, 4, 6, 9, and 11 -- M? may be Mr or Ma (master), or it may
    simply be "M" with a flourish on the end. The writer of this list ran
    the initials and last names together and it is difficult to distinguish
    what is another letter and what is simply a connecting stroke.
  * ??y?ders?? could be Wyudersen, Wyuderson, Luydersen, Luyderson
  * Wou??sow -- first missing letter is "d" or "a", next missing letter
    looks like "w" or possibly "lu". Looks like Woudwsow, Woudlusow,
    Wouawsow, or Woualusow.
  * ?eirluno? -- first two letters look like "Ch", but it is possible
    the "C" is an initial, and the first letter of the last name is a "W".
    Possibilities are Cherilunou, Cherilunow, C Werilunou, C Werilunow
  * Wila??s -- Possibly Wilams or Wilaus
  * War?u? -- Looks like Warbur or possibly Warbus
  * Merkauso? could be Merkauson or Merkausow
  * R??pf -- Looks like Ruupf, possibly Rumpf

George Moodie
Capt. .George Moodie was the first caption of the famous tea clipper "Cutty Sark". Later, he worked for the Stateline and sailed the Atlantic Ocean for 11 years.
In 1891 he retired from the sea and eight years later settled in the Wemyss, Fife, Scotland area where he was born. He spent about ten years in Methil, Fife, Scotland and then retired to MacDuff House in Auchtermuchty, Fife and died at the age of 95.
His three sons also had a love for the sea. One son, James, worked for Pennsylvania Railway Line Steamers, and was transferred to New York. Another son, George worked for the Methil Docks in the Fife area. and his third son (my grandfather) Alexander was a ship master and engineer and sailed to many world ports during his career. He also had four daughters. He had eleven grandchildren. How many descendants there are now I don't know, having just started my family search. The son, James who died in a accident in New York is the one I am looking for.
