William Wilson and wife Nancy Anne Greer along with their 6 children[Hugh,
Lizzie, James; William and John] left Glasgow. Scotland in April, 1878 on
the SS Victoria arriving in the port of New York on the 25th. After their
arrival they traveled to Magnolia, Ohio to see Nancy's father, John Greer,
and his family. Shortly ,thereafter, both families migrated west to
Hamiliton County, Nebraska. William obtained a homestead there. He and Nancy
Anne had 3 more children born in nebraska, Mary; Ida and Clarence Clyde.
About 1888 they moved again to Washington County, Colorado. They lived there
until 1917 when they moved east to Round Lake, New York. They lived there
with their daughter Mary and her husband Frank Bloom. Nancy Anne died in
1920 and William in 1924.
I want to thank you very much for putting this as a link to the Victoria.

Correspondence 01/28/03 passengers #150-154 Pofahl
I have identified several passengers from the SS Victoria that arrived
in New York on 25 April 1878 as my ancestors. Passengers 150 - 154:
Ferdinand Pofahl, Frederike Pofahl, Herman Pofahl, Robert Pofahl, and
Bertha Pofahl conitnued their journey from Germany to Faribault, Rice
County, Minnesota. Bertha died shortly after arriving in Faribault, on
28 May 1878. She had been born in Meesow, Kreis Regenwalde, Pommern on
30 Jul 1877. Frederike KIENOW POFAHL was the first of 4 brothers and
sisters to move to Faribault from Pommern. We have identified the ships
they arrived on through the Germans to America series as the the SS
Hohenstauffen arriving in New York on 8 April 1881, the SS Hohenzollern
arriving in Baltimore on 18 April 1883, and the Strassburg on 24 May
1884. Steve Kenow
