I, A. G. Braes Master of the State of Nevada do solemnly, sincerely, and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said S/O Nevada at Glasgow, Scotland from which port said S/O Nevada has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the SS State of Nevada whereof A. G. Braes is Master, from Glasgow via Larne burthen twenty five hundred tons.
Columns represent: Passenger Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, Country to which they severally belong, Country of which they intend to become inhabitants, and the part of the vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage.

Some places, occupations, and names on this list have been abbreviated. Gt Britain means Great Britain, USA means United States, Russian Pole probably refers to a Russian area of Poland. Engr means Engineer, Customs Off means Customs Officer, Carpt means Carpenter, Labr means Laborer. McGeo means McGeorge. 8 ??? Reid - appears to begin with an O, or possibly a C, the other two letters are the same. Looks like Orr. 16 Ha????? Christensen - all short letters. Third letter may be an i, last letters could be mie or we. 30 Wolf C???f??l?? - first group of letters could be imo or uno, middle letters are short but unreadable, last letters could be el or even a u.
