DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN - PORT OF BOSTON
I, John Boit, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear, that the within REPORT and LIST, subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collector of the district of BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the names, age, sex and occupation of all the passengers, together with the name of the country to which they severally belong, and that of which they intend to become inhabitants, which were on board the Ship Mercury whereof I am at present master, at the time of her sailing from the port of London or which have at any time since been taken on board the said vessel. And I do likewise swear, that all matters whatsoever in said report and list expressed, are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD. ? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

Passenger numbers were added to aid in referencing.

 1 George Bar??: possibly Barber or Barker.  His occupation may have started 
   with F, T, or W, and probably ended with er, about 5 or 6 letters in all.  
 4 M?sco? Faigin: first name looks like Muscom.
 6 Joseph Wilkin?: there may be an s on end.
 7 Richard Bar???: looked the same as first passenger's name, 
   but they were from different places.
 9-14 Mitt??: could be en or in, or er or ir.
10-11 Charlotte and Elizabeth Mitt?? were listed as male.
12 Martha Mitt??: age 6 or 60.
17 Charles Ruthe? Jr.: age was 10 or 16.
