Belfast, Ireland to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
8 May 1850

PORT OF PHILADELPHIA
I, Wm. Smith, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philada. contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers which were on board the Br. brig Maria at the time of her sailing from the port of Belfast or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present, and have been during the voyage, master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. (signed) Willm. Smith. Transcriber's Notes:  

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
  the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
  in the transcriber's notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

Captain's statement was at end of original manifest.  District Collector's 
first name abbreviation was probably for Leonard.  Manifest dated May 8, 1850.

Passenger numbers added to aid with referencing.

  2 Margaret Stokes: age was either 33 or 35. 
 26 Daniel Kelly: age was 20 or 30.
 29 Jane Kelly: age was 13 or 18.
 31 ???a?a Kelly: first name possibly Johana but not clear.
 51 Annie Blaney: age was 27, 37, or 57.
 52 Margaret Blaney: age was 20 or 30.
 85 Archy McGu?kan: letter is probably i or r.
 90-95 McNiel: spelled as found.
 99 Edward Ro?: either ss or x in question.
101 Mary McMu?y: either n or rr in question.
