Correspondence added 8-23-2005 passengers 33-37 MARZOLF
My ancestors arrived on Ship Jane D. Cooper 25 June 1852 Havre to New York.
Their names are: Frederic Marzolf, Salome Marzolf, Frederic Marzolf,
Georg Marzolf, Henry Marzolf. What I know is that the family bought
property in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area - specifically property
from a man named Davis in what was known as Allegheny City, PA.
My line is through the eldest boy, Frederic who eventually settled
on property in Shaler Township, Pittsburgh, PA. There is a school
there named after our family, Marzolf Elementary School.
The middle son Georg is connected to another distant relaitive
who has done extensive work on her line this side of the ocean.
They stayed on the property in Allegheny City. To my knowledge,
Henry eventually became a merchant. The parents, Frederic and
Salome are burried in Rosedale Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. Georg
and his family are also burried there.
