1-50 Occupation of passengers Robert Miller through John McLaggen was "Wa??er".
The word appears to be waiter.
8 The name was possibly Haicliffe.
19 The name was probably Borilla; age either 43 or 45.
22 His name was either McLane or McLune.
29 Patterson spelled here with "tt", but otherwise on list "Paterson".
33 Walter Duncan was either 27 or 29.
49 Alex Johnston's age was 23 or 25.
52 The destination looked something like "Ginne" Gulf.
63-65 There was a large tear or ink blot over these 3 names: Duncan, ?enden, Shand.
66 This was probably Ferguson, though this name was partially affected by the tear
or ink blot.
Correspondence 1/19/02 passenger John Marshall
I think that 'John Marshall' , whose name is on this list (Barque Jane)
is my great- grandfather. He eventually settled in Iowa, served in the
Civil War, married & had a family & is buried in Iowa.
I don't know very much about him, but would welcome any information or
inquirys regarding him. Ruth Knephoff
National Archives and Records Administration, Film M259, Reel 14.
