I Josiah Murch - do certify that I have examined the within manifest which was this day produced to me as the copy of the original manifest of the cargo on board of the Brig James Coulter, whereof, Elkannah* Bray is Master from Laguira* with the original and find the same to agree - In witness whereof I Have Signed My Hand this 28th day of Dec. 18?1*, Josiah Murch
Report and Manifest of the cargo laden on board of the Brig James Coulter whereof Elkanah Bray is Master, which cargo was taken on board at Laguayra* burthen 133 81/95 tons, built at Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania and owned by J*. L. Ferguson Merchant at Philadelphia as per Register granted at Philadelphia the Fourteenth day of May 1829 and bound for Philadelphia.

Ships Stores: One Barrell Beef; One Barrell Bread; One Case Wine; Part Box Almonds; Part Box Raisans*; Ten Pounds Sugar Transcribers Notes: * Written on page one: 26 Jany 1832, Manifest, Brig James Coulter, Bray and Laquaira. * 18?1 contains scrolls. It looks like 1881, but is more likely 1831. * Laguaira, Laguira, Laguayra, could have been in Venezuela. * Upper case J and I look the same. * Manifest listed merchants marks, amount, cargo, shippers, and consignees. * Spelling variations are copied as originally recorded. * Some spelling "errors" may have been the correct spelling in 1831.
