PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
I, B. A. Bukup, certify that I have examined the within Manifest this day produced to me as a copy of the original Manifest of passengers and bagages (sic) on board the ship Grotius whereof Jeremiah Page is Master from London with the original. I find the same to agree in witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name this day 6th December 1836.

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
  the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
  in the transcriber's notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

Passenger numbers added to aid in referencing.

 1-3  The first 3 passengers were together; the name was spelled differently for each, 
      and almost illegible.
 3    His age could have been 18; the first word could have been Majer.
 5    The missing initial could be G or L or S.
 7    The Thompson baggage was "10 Packages, 1 Package Bed, 4 Chairs".
11-13 The Rileys and Mary Burns had brackets by their baggage. 
14    This name may have been O'Neill, but not at all sure, the writing was almost illegible.  
      The baggage was "10 Packages, 1 Package Bed". 
35-38 The Andrews and Henry Darlow had brackets by their baggage.
47-50 Spelled Kingsbury once, then Kinsbury; the town was spelled Lonom or Sonom.
51    The name could have begun with L or S.
53    The Rose baggage was "4 Packages, 2 Packages Beds".  
      Country of allegiance began with E, but film was damaged; probably England.
59    There was the letter N written before Green, and the N and Green partially lined out.
61-64 The name was probably Quartermain, but was not spelled out completely.
