DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA – PORT OF PHILADELPHIA
I, William Wittleston, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly Swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers which were on board the Brig Garland at the time of her sailing from the Port of Londonderry or which have been taken on board at any time since; that I am at present and have been during the voyage master of the said vessel. And I do likewise Swear that all matters whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest, are to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. SO HELP ME GOD.   Transcriber's Notes:
  The original list was not numbered. 
  * The 4th column, titled "Occupation" was filled in with large script 
    vertically aligned  in the column stating " Farmers, Mechanics and 
    Labourers."
  * The 5th column, titled "To what country belonging" was filled in 
    large script vertically aligned in the column stating, "Ireland."
  * The 6th column, titled " County of which it is their intent to become 
    inhabitant" was   filled in large script vertically aligned in the 
    column stating, " United States of America."
  * #6 John Carr was noted "dead" in the 6th column.
  * #20 age appears to be 71 or 21.
  * #24 second digit could not be deciphered.
  * #26-28: ages could not be deciphered - smudged.
  * #30-33: Surname looks like Heyasty, but third letter could be a 
    'g' and 5th letter could be an "r".
  * #95 First name could not be deciphered - has two tall letters "th?" 
    in the middle.
  * #96-101 Surname is written with the backward "f" used when there 
    were a double "s" and  name assumed to be "Hassin" rather than "Hafsin".
  * #115 The "g" from Mary Callaghan has run into the "?" letter and it 
    cannot be deciphered.
