I, David Ovenstone Master of the Steam-Ship Devonia do solemnly, sincerely, and truly ????? that the following list or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said S.S. Devonia at Glasgow for which port the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage and the names and ages of those who died. Sworn to this February 26, 1879. Before me Albert Arthur Master. So help me God.
List or Manifest of ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on Board the Steam-Ship Devonia whereof David Ovenstone is Master, from Glasgow burthen 2441 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, Country to which they belong, Country to which they intend to inhabit, Accommodation. The column for died on the voyage was eliminated as there were no entries.
