From Londonderry to Philadelphia
July 3, 1834
I SWINFORD do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all Passengers which were on board the Brig Ann at the time of her sailing from the port of Londonderry or which have been taken on baord at any time since; that I am at present and have been during the voyage, master of said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all mattaers whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of knowledge and belief, just and true. Thank you very much for your time and effort in transcribing this. I am enclosing brief statements relative to each person in the party preceded by their respective passenger numbers: 33. John Mitchell, age 40, male--my ggf. Went directly to government land in Carroll Co, OH where he farmed until his death in 1860. 34. David Mitchell, age 32, male--brother of above John. Never married. Later owned farmland in conjunction with John. Died in 1858. 35. Hugh Dugan, age 20, male--relationship, if any unknown. 36. Sarah Mitchell, 25, female--wife of above John. Maiden name Irving. Died 1860. Five children, two born Ireland, three Ohio. 37. Anne Mitchell, ?8, female. Relationship uinknown. Working on possibility she may have later become wife of Hugh Dugan. 38. Richard Mitchell, age 4, male--son of John and Sarah Mitchell. Died unmarried in 1861 in Carroll Co, OH 39. Rebecca Mitchell, age 2, female--Daughter of John and Sarah. Husband killed in Civil War. Died 1891 Stark Co, OH. Five children in northeast Ohio. Bill Mitchell
