The SS ship was written in as Cunard Steamship in only this line.
In the occupation column all the Merchants were spelled Mercht.
Peddler was spelled Pedler.
Gentleman was spelled Gent.
Wollen Manft - Wollen Manufacture.
Man Servt - A man's servant or valet
Labr - Laborer
22 Mou???* this is in the fold of the page and can not make it out.
40 Chamist. This researcher's thoughts are that this is a Chemist. It is
plainly written "a".
74 Mrs. S. Norris age could be 56, it is on a fold and can only see a small
amount of bottom but if the passenger below her is her daughter at age 26
it could be her mother and age 56
Correspondence added December 13, 2006, Passenger 63, Nuttall
This person is a direct ancestor of mine.
I know of his history in some detail, dating back to 1800 in Manchester
and his families subsequent migration to Crag Vale, Sowerby Bridge
Yorkshire.
I have no records of his activities in America.
If you would like details of his ancestry, Let me know and I will pass on my knowledge.
Correspondence added 30 March 2008, Passenger 63, Nuttall
Since my prior entry, I have discovered that he returned and was married in Rochdale
in the 3rd quarter of 1881.
Yours sincerely, Ronald John Nuttall
