Ship Adeline


Liverpool, England to New Orleans
16* April 1828

DISTRICT OF MISSISSIPPI - PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
I, G. W. Backus certify that I have examined the within manifest produced to me this day as a copy of the original manifest of the cargo on board the ship Adeline whereof Baker* is Master, from Liverpool, with the original and find the same to agree. In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name, this 16th* day of April, 1828.

Report & Manifest of the Cargo laden on board the ship Adeline of Portland whereof Paul M. Reed* is Master, which Cargo was taken on board at Liverpool Eng., burthen 329 tons, built at ?em??cott?* state of Maine and owned by Ths. Chadwick Esq. Merchant at ?* as per Register, granted at New York, Nov. 15, 1827, and bound for New Orleans.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
  condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

  Conflicting arrival dates for the Adeline.  The statement was dated 16 April 1828.  
  The ship was filed as arriving 21 April 1828.    

  There were two different men named as master.  Could not read the port where ship
  was built, nor where Chadwick was merchant.

  Ship & Cabbin (as found) Stores:  Beef, bread, rum, coffee, tea, wine.
